How to use the estimate
Select a proposed capacity rather than treating the calculator as a roof design. Use several electricity bills to understand seasonal consumption. The generation field represents an assumed monthly average; shade, orientation, weather, equipment and maintenance affect actual output.
Direct consumption matters because a home that uses electricity during daylight has a different import/export pattern from a home occupied mainly at night. Set the direct-use percentage to explore that difference. The result caps on-site use at the household demand you enter. This simplified monthly comparison does not model every hour or simulate battery storage.
Read assistance and savings separately
Subsidy is conditional financial assistance, while the energy offset is a recurring illustration based on your inputs. The calculator does not add the assistance to annual savings, assume a loan rate, promise a zero bill or calculate a guaranteed payback period. Confirm the equipment price, installation scope, charges and ongoing responsibilities in a written proposal.
What to confirm before installation
Check your electricity connection, roof condition, sanctioned load, current scheme eligibility and registered-vendor selection. Keep the required inspection, metering and commissioning stages in the plan. Enter identity and bank details only through the appropriate official process; this calculator does not ask for them.
