Start with the household’s electricity connection
Use a recent electricity bill to identify the consumer number and distribution company. The name of a town or district does not replace the DISCOM shown on that bill. Odisha has TPCODL, TPNODL, TPWODL and TPSODL service territories; check the actual connection rather than selecting a utility from the installer’s office location. Keep consumer and application details private. You can discuss a preliminary roof survey without sending identity or bank records through a general enquiry form.
Find the official register
Open the official PM Surya Ghar portal and use its registered-vendor directory or vendor-selection stage. Select Odisha and the district and DISCOM requested by the current interface. Search the vendor’s complete legal name. Read the full result rather than relying on a logo, search-engine snippet, advertisement or a screenshot from another district. The portal’s available selection is more useful than a general statement that a company works across Odisha.
Match the company you will contract with
Compare the legal name and contact details in the register with the quotation, agreement and invoice. A trading brand and a legal entity can be different, so ask the proposer to explain the relationship in writing where needed. Registration alone does not identify the final module, inverter, mounting, protection or service package. Request the proposed equipment schedule and project scope separately. A certificate for a component or another company does not establish vendor registration.
Record what the result actually establishes
Save the relevant result with the checked date, selected district and DISCOM. Keep this with the proposal so the scope of the check is clear. A listing found in one filter should not automatically be described as registration under every utility. If the portal is blank or unavailable, that is not evidence that the vendor is absent; check again through the official interface before making a scheme-linked selection. Do not replace a missing result with an assumed registration claim.
Check the agreement after the listing
Confirm the installation capacity, equipment models, supply and civil-work scope, metering responsibilities, exclusions, payment stages and service contact. Module, inverter, structure and workmanship warranties can have different holders and terms. Keep the agreed schedule and ask how substitutions are approved. Registration does not guarantee the authority’s inspection date, subsidy eligibility, loan approval or disbursement. Read the Odisha PM Surya Ghar guide for the wider application journey.
HELLOCON’s checked district listings
On 18 October 2026, the official Odisha district views returned HELLOCON Engineering and Construction Private Limited for Khordha, Cuttack, Jajpur (shown as Jajapur), Sambalpur and Ganjam. The checked interface filters by district. These are dated directory observations, not a promise of subsidy approval or evidence of a completed installation in every listed district. Match the vendor available to your own consumer application and DISCOM. Explore the documented home projects and discuss your roof assessment.
This guide explains general system principles. Final technical suitability and scheme eligibility require project-specific review.
